In 2006 The Canadian Association of Home and Property Inspectors (CAHPI) was proud to be able to finally launch their National Certificate Holder program. This new National designation has been many years in the making and represents thousands of hours of research and development by CAHPI in conjunction with CMHC and CREA just to mention a few. While this program will be managed by The Canadian Association of Home and Property Inspectors, the new designation is available to all Home Inspectors from coast to coast across the country, whether they are CAHPI members or not. This new designation is highest and most prestigious one available in the Canadian home inspection profession today.
In November 2006 at the CAHPI National Conference in Calgary, the first CAHPI National Certificate Holders were awarded their new designations. Paul Wilson of HOME INSPECTORS® was one of the first few recipients of this new prestigious designation. Paul has also been chosen by CAHPI to be one of their "Peer Review Examiners" for this program (TIPR).
